McDaniel Road Reconstruction

About this Project:

The McDaniel Road Reconstruction project, commissioned by the Shire of Broome, aimed to upgrade a key 950m-long connector road within Broome’s Heavy Industrial Area Precinct. As a vital access route for businesses and a connection to Archer Street and De Castilla Street, maintaining traffic flow during construction was a critical priority.

  • Installing a new basecourse, 2-coat bitumen seal, and kerbing
  • Removing existing crossings and installing new culverts, headwalls, and concrete crossovers
  • Conducting detailed earthworks and shaping overland flow swale drains along road shoulders

Outcome

The project was delivered within the 6-month timeframe with:

  • Zero safety incidents
  • Minimal disruption to businesses and road users
  • A fully upgraded industrial road, enhancing long-term accessibility and durability
